Turning Little Inventors into Mighty Entrepreneurs with 3D Printing

Help me give my students 3D printers and filament so that we can create, design, and build 3D prototypes of their business ideas.

My Students

My students are amazing, resilient, and hard-working. Despite our remote location, they challenge themselves every day. I am proud to watch them grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Together, we empower each other.

In our class, we build, taste, blend, concoct, dissect, observe, and learn by doing, and with your help, we will continue to help our students gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to be successful in school and throughout their lives.

We look forward to surprising you with our results! Thank you for your support!

My Project

3D printing is a technology that scientists and engineers are using to change the world. We want to put that same technology into the hands of our students and introduce them to some of the challenges facing our community. 3D printing creates a ‘wow factor’ that engages students. It helps them to learn the design process in a hands-on, fun, learning environment.

We're creating inventors, bringing art and design back into schools, engaging reluctant learners, creating responsible digital citizens, and solving real-world problems.

These 3D projects help students to learn empathy, teamwork, and problem solving as we teach them to solve real-world problems. The 3D printers will give students a hands-on opportunity to learn the design process by identifying needs and/or problems in our class, school, and community. Students start by developing ideas, then designing prototypes that can solve these problems or needs.

What a great experience it will be for our students to be able to learn the design process that they can incorporate in almost any design challenge that they face in their lives.
