My students need new a variety of hands-on materials like reading folder games and pop and learn letters to enhance their learning in literacy and math.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Kindergarten students walk through the door each day eager to learn and ready to be challenged. I love that my students are enthusiastic, curious and engaged learners. They have allowed me to spark and direct their curiosity and natural love of learning. They like going places and doing things such as working on projects, experimenting, and working with others.
Their positive attitudes and their willingness to learn, make them a delight to teach and work with.
School is their happy place! My students want to do their best and I'm always excited to support and help them.
My Project
Students will love playing file folder games and getting independent, hands-on practice with letter sounds, sight-words, and rhyming.
The file folder games will captivate and keep the students engaged and excited to learn.
These file folder games will assist them with mastering the alphabet and simple phonics so that they can become confident readers.
Students will build their own visual models as they explore the hands-on number bonds. Kids just write a number from 1 to 20 on top of each board, snap on the counting pieces and slide them into two groups to show as many number combinations as possible.
