Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
97% of students at my school qualify for free and reduced lunch. I have a special interest in helping students in low-income situations because I believe music can help them become the people they want to be. My number one priority is to ensure that each student meets the height of their potential and that each student has someone who cares for them and believes in them.
The students in my school have had very little access to music education and almost no experience with choral music.
Not only do I hope to help each student become the best that they can be, but I firmly believe that the expectations I have for my students should not change based on their economic status or ethnic background.
My goal is to provide them with a safe space to learn and grow as singers. This project will give us the technology to practice in small groups and be able to travel and sing in public places.
My Project
My classroom currently does not have a speaker that will play accompaniment tracks loud enough for my whole choir to sing along with and adequately be able to hear the accompaniment. The Monster Rockin' Roller will give us ample sound in class as well as be a portable option for concerts at venues that are away from school.
The Tribit portable Bluetooth speakers are perfect for small group rehearsals.
We will utilize these speakers to practice in groups as we prepare for honor choir auditions. The Tribit Hard Case will help us to preserve and protect these items for use for many years to come.
