My kindergarten students attend elementary school on a military installation base in south-central Alaska. The students may attend our school for just a few days, a few weeks or a few years. One or both parents may be deployed at any time during the school year.
My kindergarten students face many challenges being part of a military family.
Their constant moves and uprooting of routines and friends are tough on their little lives. A school is a place that they find comfort in and a safe place to interact within.
My Project
Technology plays a large part in classrooms and with this comes the need for headphones. My classroom is fortunate enough to have enough Chromebooks so that each child can have their own computer to work on. My kindergarten students are required to work on Lexia several times a week while at school which delivers personalized literacy instruction.
Students working with headphones on while on the computer will help keep the classroom noise level at a minimum while keeping learning at a maximum!
Individual headphones will help to make our classroom more conducive to learning and help all students to succeed!
