This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school in which 100% of students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Our school has a racially and ethnically diverse population.
I have a classroom full of excited six-year-old children, including English language learners, slower learners, high achievers, and special education students.
My students are excited about school, eager to learn and have loads of energy! However, their many differences create a challenge! Often, the complexities of learning are an obstacle they need to overcome. Having available resources will ensure that they have equal opportunities.
My Project
My six-year-olds are inquisitive and delighted with items that they can hold and manipulate.
Children learn best when they are involved in their own learning and take pride in what they have accomplished.
With these tools, they will be so excited to make and build, using their minds and imaginations. The Turn and Learn Magnetic Gears and Patterning Game will boost skills—with nuts and bolts and build fine motor skills as they go and the puzzle is perfect for teaching patience and building skills of logic.
What parent or teacher wouldn't want extra practice in having their child follow directions. This game makes it fun.
