This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our music program received a shipment of 30 ukuleles at the beginning of the year. The students have been so excited to take up an instrument and put their musical skills to practice. It has been truly amazing to see the level of responsibility that these students have taken on to learn these new skills.

While we have these wonderful tools, we could use some tuners to help expedite the tuning process.

It takes away a large part of my prep time to tune each ukulele and takes away from our class time as well. Having these amazing resources would be a way to get the students involved and help them to learn how to properly tune their instruments.
