Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students from Cleveland are fun, intelligent, and inquisitive. They attend a school where they are pushed to focus on ways to include the content they are learning inside the classroom to their community. They have the opportunity to participate in some after school clubs and sports, but our charter school lacks the funding to provide our students with new uniforms and accessories for our sports teams.

My cheerleading squad is a hardworking and fun loving group of girls who deserve the best when it comes to the necessary safety equipment.

A set of mats are essential for safety as they will be competing in their first competition, and they do not currently have mats.

My Project

The use of the exercise mats will make a difference for the cheerleaders because they will be able to show of more of their cheerleading talents like stunting and tumbling while ensuring their safety.

Cheerleading stunts are a vital part of a cheerleading competition and with proper safety mats, my cheerleaders will be able to show of their stunts!

They will also be able to building on their tumbling skills. Without the mats, my cheerleaders will not be able to be the best cheer squad that they can be. My cheerleaders are outstanding and this project will only help them to be even better!
