My Project

This year in the K-2 classroom at the Trotter we have built a loving, caring, supportive, creative and curious community. The Construction materials that I have ordered will help enhance learning, and encourage class participation during the construction unit which was launched this week.

This unit invites children to make connections in physical science, engineering, and technology through the building of structures, measurement and comparison, and experimentation with materials.

The building centers and construction sets will engage students thinking in designing a process that involves imagining and being inspired, asking questions, researching, planning, creating, and improving their models. This process supports the construction of physical structures as well as the building of ideas and creation of works of art.
