Our school family has the motto "You Belong Here". It is, for so many, the place where they find comfort, caring, and opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Keeping our students safe and nurtured is as much of our day as are the needs to teach the skills needed to master reading, writing, comprehension, and how education plays a part in their life.
We have some of the most beautiful, talented, bright, caring, and compassionate students any school could wish for.
Opportunities for our students are appreciated and you can see the gratitude and excitement on their faces when they are provided new experiences, successes, and praise for their work.
This project involves handmade ornaments of glass, ceramic, and wood. Students will design and make glass, ceramic, and wood ornaments to create a one of a kind art piece to "raffle". Learning how to market and advertise their artwork.
Students learn how to use a ceramic and a glass kiln while using hand tools in the woodshop.
This hands-on project allows students to learn value of their own talents.
Learning the processes involved in marketing and advertising is an intricate part of this project. As well as learning the cost of funding a project to assure that the material needed can be paid for and replenish materials needed for further projects.
