My Students

My students will be the next generation of leaders that will help guide communities to pursue what is right and what is good. My students are part of a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), specifically Skills USA. Skills USA prepares students to enter the workforce in any trade or skilled career. Their motto is "Job-ready, Day one". With that being said, one of my students has taken many steps to help prepare himself for being "Job Ready".

He recently was a page in Olympia and is currently in ASB but will be the ASB president of the junior class in the 2019-2020 school year.

He has taken part in many community service projects in the city such as Food drive for the local food bank and planning/hosting an Easter egg hunt for the kindergartners one of the local elementary schools.

My student attends a high school in one of the lowest income and poverty stricken towns in all of Washington.

My Project

My student has little travel experience and has lived in a rural area his entire life. With this trip, he will be able to experience a major city and a new way of living. He will also have the opportunity to compete nationally to see where he ranks compared to other students in the nation. This will help give him confidence in his own ability to succeed in the future.

Through this trip, my student will learn leadership through travel and culture becoming a more holistic person.

He will gain real-life experiences that will transfer later on in his adult life. This trip will be instrumental in his academic growth and future career.
