Help me give my students items to add to the tricycle lesson. Added to the cart includes safety helmets, cones, and traffic signs to educate students on safety and bicycle etiquette.
My students are a highly motivated energetic group that loves to be outdoors. I have 10 Adaptive PE students who love to ride tricycles; we recently received two brand new trikes and now need some safety equipment and accessories for the bike.
These items would be a great addition to our class, we appreciate any support!
We were able to get two tricycles and now need helmets and accessories for the trikes! This equipment will aide in the tricycle lessons for our class.
My Project
My adaptive PE students will be able to use the adult tricycle to work on motor skills. They have a variety of disabilities and this will be a piece of equipment to help them cardiovascularly as well as to develop a variety of motor skills.
Students will be able to work on movement patterns riding the tricycle around the playground.
We can also use sidewalk chalk to create a road for the student to work on following directions. Riding tricycles also require balance, coordination and requires the use of core muscles. Most of our kids have not been on a tricycle since they were little; it will be great for them to relive their younger days. This project will add to the use of tricycles and emphasize the use of safety equipment and procedures. We will go over road signs and wearing protective equipment!
