My Students
I teach a diverse group of students from the most diverse city in our country. Because of this, many of my students come from various countries and speak many different languages. Some of my students have been in the country for less than a year, but are eager to learn and grow as a part of our community. Our school is part of a feeder pattern of a Title I school.
Last year a lot happened in September so our students had a rough start to the beginning of the school year.
Fortunately, our kids are resilient and were able to bounce back despite this setback.
I'd love to create a classroom that students remember for years to come, because of the many cultures, languages, and books that they were introduced to.
My Project
Who says reading books is out of style? Research says that the more books a student has access to at home and at school the more likely they are to become fluent readers who fall in love with reading - and that's the goal right?
Help our student library by donating trendy up to date books that are students want to read!
I asked our students and had them vote on the books that they would like to see in our small classroom library and here is the list! Help make our kids life long learners, by giving them access to books that are on their level and current to the needs of today's students!
