This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
What makes my students special? They are special because all their differences make our classroom unique. We have been in school about two and half months and they show me daily how eager they are to learn and reach the goals they have set for themselves. Each day they come in with a smile on their face. It warms my heart to see their desire to learn.
My students are beyond amazing.
My school is a Title I school. Therefore, some of my students may enter my classroom not fully equipped with all the materials they need. Each day my kids find a way to put a smile on my faces because regardless of their home situation, they come motivated for a new learning day. I couldn't have asked for a better class.
My Project
My students are a tad bit overwhelmed with the demands of testing. My students have classroom assessments, school wide unit assessments, and state assessments. Currently, we are preparing for the approaching statewide assessment. To encourage my students to finish the school year strong, I would like to provide snacks and treats for those students who do their best daily. I have found my students are motivated more when they have something tangible to work towards. In addition, my students have worked extremely hard this school year, so rewarding them at the end is ideal. It shows them hard work pays off.
