What makes my students special? They are special because all their differences make our classroom unique. We have been in school about two and half months and they show me daily how eager they are to learn and reach the goals they have set for themselves. Each day they come in with smiles on their faces. It warms my heart to see their desire to learn.
My students are beyond amazing.
My school is a Title I school. Therefore, some of my students may enter my classroom not fully equipped with all the materials they need. Each day my kids find a way to put a smile on my face because, regardless of their home situation, they come motivated for a new learning day. I couldn't have asked for a better class.
My school implements PBIS in which we are trying to promote a positive, predictable, and safe environment school wide. My students are working hard daily to rise up to the school wide expectations. Students earn points daily when they show respect, integrity, safety, and/or empathy. In addition, they earn points for being on time to school and when they dress in standard attire. On selected days the students are allowed to cash in some or all of their points at the PBIS store. Teachers are also able to set up stores for their students to shop at as well. So, the snacks I requested are for my classroom store. My students love Ring POPs, chips, cheez it, chocolate, rice krispy treats, cookies, and pop rocks So, I thought by building up my the treats in my store it will motivate my students to continue to rise up to the classroom and school expectations.
