My Students
I am proud to serve a wonderful and sweet group of second-grade students at a Title I school. I love my students because they come from all walks of life. Each child comes from a different background, but most come from a low socioeconomic environment. Each day, they greet me with a bright, happy smile! They love to learn, and I want to provide experiences for them here in our classroom.
My Project
I am a BT2 (beginning teacher, year 2) and I am trying to stock my treat box. At our school, we use Classroom Dojo. Students can earn points for good behavior, being kind to others, following directions, walking in the hallway, etc. They can also lose points for bad behavior, not being kind, not following directions, and so on. My second graders have never had a "normal" school experience, so it's no wonder their behavior needs some encouragement.
I want to stock my treat box with everything my students love and will want to earn Dojo points to have a chance to spend at the treat box!
