This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a classroom full of energetic students who love learning! I work in a Title I school and 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. I love teaching third grade, and students come to school each day excited to learn!
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
I believe it is my responsibility to give students a comfortable, collaborative learning environment where they can learn to the best of their ability. They have limited supplies and books at home, so students are enthusiastic about receiving new supplies and materials!

My Project
As part of our positive behavior program in the PBIS school where I teach, my students can earn money called Cubby Bucks. These Cubby Bucks are earned when students show positive behaviors. They can earn cubby bucks at any time during the day, from when they walk in the room in the morning and responsibility start their morning work, to helping a fellow classmate, to following directions in class.
When enough Cubby Bucks are earned, students can visit our classroom prize box.
Currently, our prize box is low. All that is left is some twizzlers and erasers.
Rewarding students for good behavior and hard work is something that goes a long way. It is the little things we do as educators that will help our students be successful and become future leaders in their communities. Thank you for contributing and "noticing the small stuff!"
