My Students

I work with a fun, loving group of 5th-8th grade students with special needs. They are really excited about learning. I thought that the pandemic would create a difficult school year as they were out of school for so long and would have to readjust. My students are champs because they returned excited about learning, beating the odds. We work with each student on his/her specific needs as far as self help skills and basic writing and letter recognition. My students make teaching so much fun because they crave to learn more and they enjoy every moment that we’re are in class. I really enjoy working with this group.

My Project

Our students are eager to learn every day, but most of them need motivation. I will like to start a point reward chart for my students, so they can earn coupons for treats. The items requested will help my students stay motivated along with teaching them the concept of money. These treats are items that my students love to eat each day so this will be a fun project to try out with our students. Treats are a fun reward to help students stay consistent with their learning process and want to continue to complete class assignments.
