I have the wonderful opportunity to teach 24 second graders! I truly love my students and always want the best for them! My school district is located in a small town in Delaware. What inspires me most about my students is that they always come to school enthusiastic to learn! No matter what challenges they face in their personal lives, they are eager to step foot into my classroom! I am excited about all the possibilities awaiting them during this school year!
My Project
My school's behavior plan requires each classroom to have a treasure box. This treasure box is accessible to students who exhibit positive behavior during the school day. This could be, but is not limited to, turning in homework, participating during class time, helping a friend, and so forth. I would love to give my students some unique choices this year. Instead of always offering unhealthy candy, I would like to provide them with stickers, slap bracelets, fun erasers, stamps, etc. By having a treasure box with these options, students would have healthy choices that are fun and interesting!
