Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my foreign language class are always excited to show up to my classroom. Students are ready to learn new things because there is always something they have not done in any of their other classes. The students in my classes are very creative and are willing to do extra on their projects in order to stand out. My foreign language students are always excited about trying out new technology in the classroom that can be applied to the outside world.
My Project
Not all students receive the opportunity to go on field trips. Once students enter high school field trips are very scarce compared to when they attended elementary. I want to provide the opportunity for my students to travel the world in a different aspect.
The presentation portion of this project will be through the VR headsets, and the students who are not presenting will be the ones evaluating the presenter and his virtual field trip.
Students will travel to anywhere around the world without leaving the classroom. Students will select a Spanish speaking country of their choice and create a virtual field trip for the rest of the class. While students work on their virtual field trip they will use their VR headsets to ensure the quality of the trip for their future audience.
