Traveling Pre-K SPED

Help me give my students a quiet, comfortable, and organized place to learn. I am a Pre-K SPED teacher and need the divider, bean bags, and rolling carts for pull-out and push-in services. Thank you!

My Project

I have requested a room divider, bean bag chairs, and kinetic sand to meet the sensory needs of my 3-5 year old special education students. I have a long narrow teaching space that I share with other service providers and would love to create a cozy, organized (see bins/mesh bags) space for my students to engage with their favorite materials (kinetic sand, puzzles, STEM magnet blocks).

I deliver services in my resource room but also go into Pre-K classrooms to support my students, I would love to use the rolling carts to bring materials back and forth and keep them organized, giving students a sense of responsibility by helping me push the carts in the hallway.

I plan to stock each rolling cart with learning activities aligned with students' IEP goals, adaptive materials they need, and individualized preferred items to keep motivation high during learning time. This will help their classroom teachers access their learning materials when I am not there and keep materials safe from being mixed in with other students' things.

Our school is moving to a co-teaching model next year and I am hoping that these materials will help make this more comfortable for my students who get overstimulated in high activity/noisy environments and will allow me to keep students in the classroom for services so they can learn with and from their peers.
