Help me give my students Nanoblocks to build real life replicas of some of the greatest architecture in the world! By building each model they can connect with different cultures without leaving the classroom.
My student's walk into the classroom each day and are eager to learn. They have a drive for knowledge and are always asking complex and interesting questions that sometimes even I can't answer! They are creative, critical thinkers, and need activities that are going to challenge them.
Every time I raise the bar on the complexity of a project or challenge, they rise to the occasion!
I have students who come from a variety of academic levels, cultural backgrounds, and economic classes so it is very important to create a classroom community. We do this by completing team building activities, cheering for and congratulating each other, and most importantly by being there for one another when someone is in need. We are a family who care for one another.
My Project
By having the Nanoblocks in our classroom, my students will be able to think critically and creatively to put together some of the greatest architecture in the world!
These materials will challenge my fast finishers, but will also allow all of my students to see different parts of the world without leaving our classroom.
Each different figure that the students create will bring to life a new subject to be studied. When students take ownership of their learning and they WANT to do research to learn more, that is when true learning can take place. I hope that by bringing these tools into my classroom it will spark excitement and discussion on new topics.
