My students are eager to learn and experience the world through geography. We are a hands-on group that likes to be active and out of their seats.
This group is always excited to participate in any activity I hand them.
We spend quite a bit of time creating our 'notes' through different activities like foldables.
Many of my students come from low-income households and struggle to buy the supplies that are needed for some of the projects that are planned. I want my students to be excited to come into class and not have to worry about whether they have the supplies needed for the day. I want my classroom to be the positive and open place they can come and explore the world.
My Project
These supplies will give the students excellent hands-on activities that will allow them to be creative in their learning. Everything I have listed will be used by the students to create interactive books about the cities and countries we plan to visit throughout the year.
In the making of these books, my students will have the opportunity to create a mini fact foldable about each area we travel to through western geography.
I want my students to leave at the end of the year with a passion to learn more and grow into any person they want to be. With these books, I want to encourage these students to go out and see the world. To visit places and to meet people they never thought they would. This is why I'm requesting scissors, a stapler, glue, construction paper, and coloring books.
