My students need to be able to keep memories and experiences recorded, keep cameras dry and safe and have a travel journal to record their thoughts, feelings, and the cultural differences they see.

My Students

Kids need experiences. Seeing what is possible outside of a small town opens doors. My students are cross country runners who will be expanding their horizons and participating in a tour of Costa Rica. They are actively fundraising for their trips and I want to make sure the experience leads to a lifetime of experiences. Most of these students have never traveled outside of Ohio. Almost all have never been out of the country. It is my firm believe that experiences help us grow, teach us understanding, and open our eyes to other ways to do life.

My Project

I am taking a group of cross country runners to Costa Rica. I feel this is going to be a valuable trip for a number of reasons. To help this trip be valuable, I would like to provide a travel journal and a waterproof camera case to each student.

These items will allow students to process new experiences as they have them.

The travel journal with guided prompts will allow them to record what they see and learn while in Costa Rica. This is a valuable tool to help students remember the moments that were so powerful in their growth.

I would also like to provide a waterproof camera case to help them keep their camera dry and safe. This will make it possible for them to record pictures of the places and things they see while in Costa Rica.
