My Project

The little learners on my caseload are ages birth through 36 months old. I serve students and their families from birth to 24 months old in the natural environment of their home and children 24 to 36 months old attend a center-based, toddler class at SS. Many of the students on my caseload have developmental delays and a variety of abilities. Some students have medical diagnoses including autism, orthopedic impairment, and genetic disorders. Other students are hard of hearing or have delays in language. All of my students are unique and amazing!

When given the opportunity to play with transportation-related toys, all of my students are motivated to engage in play.

With the Melissa & Doug Take-Along Railroad & Take-Along Town, I can bring transportation-related materials to a younger student's home to introduce them to car and train play. The Little People, Hot Wheels, and Matchbox car ramps, garages, and race ways will allow children to engage in creative play. The emergency vehicle carrier, wooden train tracks, and Tot Tube Play Set will provide an opportunity for students to practice their social and problem solving skills while building and playing together. The Bluey garbage truck, Cocomelon school bus, and Mickey Mouse vehicle set will be highly motivating since most of the students already love those characters.

By having transportation-related toys and accessories, my students will have access to an environment where they are motivated to play and learn, but most importantly have FUN doing it.
