Please help us get organized so we can spend more time learning.
My students are incoming 6th graders, will be new to the school, and will need a ton of assistance to ensure a successful transition into our middle school community.
Organization will be a huge part of that transition, will provide consistency, and will help the class to focus on learning.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many are from low-income households. The majority of my students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program, and many struggle to afford uniforms for school. I am not able to simply send a list of required school supplies home with my students and expect their families to be able to afford to meet those requirements, so any help would be awesome!
My students are fun-loving kids who really want to learn but definitely need a structured environment in which to do so.
My Project
Providing binders and binder accessories will really help my incoming 6th graders to create reader/writer portfolios that will make our workshops run smoothly and efficiently and will model the importance of organizational skills. Also, a few art supplies will help us to start the year off on a creative note so we can work to make our classroom our community.
