My students are some of the hardest working, most thoughtful children in our building. They care for one another like they are family. These children enjoy interacting with one another and are constantly involved and engaged in their learning.
My students believe in the "power of yet" and gravitate towards having a growth mindset.
They believe in learning from mistakes. This group of students strives to please and live up to my high expectations in our classroom daily. My students are growing as whole individuals and are not afraid to be who they are. They love to learn and enjoy sharing their new knowledge with others.
My Project
Throughout my first three years of teaching, I have learned how much my students welcome the opportunity to interact with one another and how much they enjoy showing what they know in front of their peers. With a recent push in our district for more technology integration, I'd like to make the opportunity for interaction more seemless.
The eBeam Edge is a great resource that allows plain, old whiteboards to transform into an interactive haven of engagement.
Students will be able to showcase their learning in front of their classmates through direct interaction with powerpoint slides, practice problems, interactive review games, and more. I emphasize responsibility in my classroom. From the beginning of the year, students are taught that both their learning and their materials are their responsibility to maintain. Instead of me having to take the lead on moving through the technology in lessons, I can place more responsibility on my students through this process. My students love having jobs that involve technology. Many resources that I supplement with in my classroom are created by teachers for teachers. More often than not, these teachers are creating interactive components to their lessons designed for interactive whiteboards or SMART boards. I'd like to be able to share these interactive components with my students to best utilize my supplemental resources. I believe that my students will thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to interact more directly with what we're learning about in the classroom through the interactive components made possible by the eBeam Edge.
