Transforming My Classroom With Flexible Seating!

My Students

I have a class of 24 energetic and enthusiastic learners. My students love hands-on lessons where they are able to work together and explore content. They enjoy reading, math, and STEAM lessons. Our school is a high performing elementary school where students thrive with enrichment opportunities.

Our classroom community and collaborative atmosphere enable the students to dive deeper with their knowledge while learning to listen to the opinions of others.

I strive to provide my students with many interactive opportunities that stretch their thinking.

My Project

My classroom is a Flexible Seating Classroom. We use yoga balls, stability cushions, fidget bands, standing desks, and floor spots while we work. Active six year-olds need to be given ample time for movement during the day and flexible seating allows for this action during class time.

Wobble stools will allow my students with just the right amount of movement, while allowing them to concentrate on their work.

It will be a great addition to the seating that I have already provided to my students. Since I have implemented flexible seating in my classroom, I have seen my students grow academically and socially. The use of wobble stools will provide my students with an additional option to get those wiggles out while allowing them to meet their academic potential.
