Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very diverse, but one thing they all have in common is the will to learn and grow. They see the world differently from what we do as adults. These views have helped me connect the world to them and allow them to learn more as well. Times have changed, and we, as educators, have to consider their views. My students believe in having a voice and are willing to let everyone know what they feel and see.
My Project
My students work very hard in and out of school, they always try to do their best in everything they put their mind into. Our school was known as the back to back basketball champions and when my students go to each game they feel a sense of pride.
The mind is the most important part of achieving any fitness goal, mental change always comes before physical change.
Donations to this project will make a significant difference for our basketball and soccer team by allowing them to have physically train improving their overall health. In basketball and Soccer, playing the actual sport is very important but we must also train the body for conditioning.
With the help of the resistance running training bungee band and the Leg resistance bands, the students will develop better cardio which will improve game time conditioning. The Speed Agility Training Latter will improve coordination which will translate better on each field. With the help of the coated kettlebell, they will increase their muscles to last longer along with the help of the maxiClimber that will work out their entire body simultaneously. Overall health is the goal of this project, we hope to start small and increase our equipment in the future.
