My Students

This resource will help me provide students with specific literacy interventions to strengthen their reading skills. In middle school students are expected to already know how to read. Unfortunately many are several grade levels behind. It is important that sixth-grade students are able to jumpstart their literacy and work to be on grade level.

Just Words offers the opportunity for my students to fill the reading gaps that have existed for years.

My Project

My students are significantly below grade level in reading. One major area that they struggle with is phonics. My school has access to the Just Words curriculum from Wilson which is a research-backed method for helping students develop decoding and spelling skills.

I need the training to learn how to best use this curriculum.

This will allow my intervention time with students to be as effective as possible.

Reading is such an important life skill. I want to make sure that my sixth-grade students leave my classroom as strong and confident readers. Thank you in advance for your generous donation.
