Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My athletes are hardworking, diligent, and dedicated individuals that come from diverse backgrounds. They are always willing to train in order to improve their soccer skills.
My students are diligent individuals on and off the field.
Our school has an 86% population of socioeconomically disadvantaged and 97% graduation rate. Our students' families are mainly agricultural laborers with low incomes. Students are involved in fundraisers, but not enough money is raised for extra equipment. Our students are admirable and worthy. The addition of new soccer balls and training equipment will provide the opportunity for students to feel worthy and continue working diligently.
My Project
The training and recovery equipment will provide my athletes the opportunity to train efficiently and recover quickly. The agility elevation ladder, agility/speed rings, cones, k-bands, and hexagon rings will allow my athletes to be involved in various agility and speed drills. Students will be able to improve speed and quickness. Also, the pugg goals will be used to enjoy small sided games and other passing and shooting drills.
Efficient training requires the body to recover.
Therefore, we will use muscle rollers and foam rollers to allow the muscles and body to recover faster to improve performance. It is essential that my athletes understand and know how to properly allow their bodies to recover.
