Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a low-income/Title 1 campus where 100% of our students received free lunch, and with that, some are unable to provide school supplies when needed. Despite the challenges my students may face outside of school, they still come to school every day eager and willing to learn. I love that they walk in with so much excitement and energy for learning. My goal is to provide my students with a fun, loving, creative, and meaningful learning environment. Where I can encourage them to be challenged, inspired, motivated, and successful.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful site that provides millions of resources for all the areas that I teach, and more! I would like to use this project to give my students plenty of different engaging activities to complete during individual work time, as well as, activities for those students who complete their work earlier than others. I will be able to purchase fun activities for many different things, such as new ways to add or subtract, holiday-themed activities, games that will promote learning new words, independent writing activities, and much more!
It is important to provide my classroom with instruction that meets the individual needs of each student, as well as, meeting their passion and interests.
If I can provide this, then I hope to keep the fire lit for their passion for learning.
