Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are full of energy and curiosity! They are five and six-year-olds who come to school excited to learn. For some of my students, this is the first time that they are away from their parents and in school. My students come to school with positive attitudes and the brightest smiles we could ask for! They are so excited to be in school and curious to know what sort of activities we will be doing in the classroom each day. I truly look forward to helping them learn and preparing them for their future. Their neighborhood is limited and resources are needed to build a strong foundation of learning.

My Project

These gift cards will help provide students with fun new interactive ways to learn remotely. Teaching through a screen can get boring for 5-year-olds. With these gift cards, I’ll be able to buy resources to keep teaching standards while changing up the activities for my students so they will never be too bored to work.

These gift cards will also be used to buy virtual centers for math and language arts so my students can still work independently to practice the standards like we would in school.

Keeping as much normalcy as I can is what I'm striving for.
