I need training on Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling so that my kids can benefit from this highly engaging and effective style of teaching a world language that is literacy based and fun!

I am part of such an amazing learning environment. The kids have an undeniable thirst for learning. Kids can be heard at recess and home singing their favorite Spanish songs from my class. The kids push themselves to stay in the target language every class with me, and even to practice the Spanish they learn with me in class, outside of class.
“Buenos días Srta Charles” and “Buenas tardes Srta Charles” are like música to my ears!
Whenever I hear it, we are about to start another lesson filled with reading, writing, listening, speaking, singing, and having fun, en español!
My students arrive eager to meet our new "amiga". I have a puppet that will be our "personaje" (character) of the next story we start making today. The students help me choose a name for her, and an age. Then, we decide where our new friend will go on an adventure. We decide what she will do as our story's plot begins to develop.
"Ay, caramba" my students yell as our friend gets into some trouble.
"No puede ser" they exclaim as something shocking happens in the story. The story continues until we come to a closing "Fin" and we recap what happened in our story.
The next class, the students help me remember the story as I begin to write the story down. The story is then used for reading comprehension activities. This is the type of interactive, highly engaging learning that happens in TPRS classrooms, but I need the training to be able to start teaching this way in class. My students love the limited amount of reading and storytelling that I have done with them, so I am excited to learn more.
