This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"This is fun!" can be heard often from our students because they truly get excited while learning.

Our students are energetic and curious little learners.

Our school is located in an urban area in Metro Detroit, and the majority of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Our student body is made up of many cultures which helps us learn and embrace diversity.

Our students love to explore and learn with technology! When given the opportunity to become little engineers and designers, their ideas simply soar through the classroom. Our students truly value learning with the basics but that piece of technology always gets them excited even more.

My Project

My preschool students need a laptop and Fire tablets so that they can become more familiar with technology. This is a digital generation, and my students need to have access to the technology that will help them learn and be a part of this technical world. Being curious learners, my preschool students will love the laptop and tablets.

A laptop and tablets will help my preschool students learn, have fun, and understand many ways to use technology during their school day.

These tools will make a huge difference in their learning because the students will be able to use the tablets in small groups and focus on letter recognition, number recognition, shapes, sounds, phonics and more. There are so many applications, games and programs to help with learning that they will be able to access on the tablets and the laptop. The laptop can also be used in a technology center which the students can choose during work time.

My preschool students are bright and very capable of doing great things. Technology in the classroom will only enhance their abilities and make them stronger students for the future.
