My Students
My students are awesome. They deserve all the resources to help them achieve success. My students attend a Title I school that is considered high poverty. We have almost 50% of our students receiving free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch each day. We even have a weekend food program.
My students are working extremely hard to be successful with the Common Core curriculum, and I want to get them all the resources to achieve this.
I appreciate how hard they work for me each day, and I know they'd appreciate any support you could give them.
My Project
What's the next step for my room you ask? My immediate answer is "touching" their learning. I would like to get an interactive whiteboard with a sturdy stand and two styluses for my students to touch their learning each day. This interactive whiteboard will be used for small groups, whole group, and individuals as well. I can't even begin to express the depth of what my students' education would develop into. They would be able to move around the numbers in a math problem, watch a movie and interact with it, plan a paper, etc. I can see this interactive whiteboard located by my carpet where I'd get the most exposure. I truly know that by them "touching" their learning I'll spark new and exciting learning. Help me bring this 21st-century learning into my room.
