My students are the most creative and curious of all learners. Kindergartners all come in are eager to learn and to experience. My school is based in an agricultural community where many are tied locally to their work. This limits my students' abilities to travel and experience things outside our small rural community.
Students in my school are even more eager to learn than some because, for them, it might be their only link to a larger world.
Students in my class are developmentally ready to explore and experience the world around them. They are beginning to make connections to how they impact the world and how the world can impact them.
My Project
Each learner in my room needs to master their letters, letter sounds, and numbers to create the building blocks all other learning is built upon. They will be able to use these new technology tools on a daily basis to help that occur.
Touchtronic technology allows the youngest learners to interact with letters and numbers to learn in the most engaging way.
These sets will be used in small groups and one-on-one learning settings to help my students learn letters, numbers, letter sounds, and begin to read. Kindergarteners like to try new things and can lose focus when given the same tools all the time. The Touchtronic letters and numbers will be a brand-new experience to them that will engage them in learning.
