My Students

"Go read a book!" Easier said than done. Many families want their children to read but don't have books available at their child's reading level. I would like to send leveled books home every night with students to read with their families.

We live in rural Montana.

Students love to play outside in the snow. They also enjoy riding bikes, hiking, boating, hunting, snowmobiling and skiing. Parents in our school want to be involved in their children's education and work hard to help them succeed.

My Project

I want my students to become better readers and that takes lots of practice. It is difficult for parents to find time and resources to help children practice their reading at home. I am requesting a variety of leveled books to add to our take home library, so all students can take a book home every night at their reading level and get the practice they need to improve their reading.

Children who read outside of school are better readers.

Better readers do better in school and ultimately in life. Providing take-home books will make a difference in my students' lives!
