My students need Poin2 Chromebooks to use in our everyday class usage of Schoology (a program that mimics Blackboard for grade schools) because every student does not have their own device.
I have a very energetic group of students! We do a lot of blended learning in my classroom. My students love the use of technology while learning new concepts and strategies. Right now we are learning about Fractions! They have been asked to create a song and a music video including recording and editing. These are the types of projects we'll be able to continue with your help. We would truly appreciate!
My students are always excited about learning!
We spend a lot of time in the outdoor classroom doing activities. My students are very inquisitive and find new math strategies very interesting. They love science labs and proving if their hypothesis is right or wrong. These kids love school!
My Project
My students LOVE technology. We love being able to incorporate videos, games, and learning all while "playing" with technology. Students are more engaged and excited about learning new concepts and being able to create projects using the few ipads provided to our school.
This year my school and our students have been through multiple setbacks, mainly Hurricane Harvey.
During Hurricane Harvey we were out of school for two weeks. This set us back in curriculum and caused our students to be shaken by these events. Our students saw the devastation throughout Houston and came back to school with MANY questions. In order to get out students minds off of the terrible events, we incorporated MORE technology into our lessons. THEY LOVED IT!
Now that our students are back into the swing of school and excited about learning, we're requesting funding for Chromebooks in order for ALL of our students participate in the projects we have planned.
