Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are leaders. We are a team. We are responsible. We are respectful. We are creative. We are helpful. We are encouraging. We persevere. We are incredible.
This incredible group of sixth graders set goals, work hard, and seek deeper understanding.
We are in a low socioeconomic area where 95% of the population of students are socioeconomically disadvantaged and more than three-fourths of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. These students come to school each day ready and enthusiastic for new knowledge.
My Project
Our class is anxiously waiting to integrate a new form of technology into our classroom via tablets. Our class is made up of English learners, students ready to be challenged, and students who are growing up in a tech forward world.
The Amazon Fire Tablets will be used by all students to meet a variety of needs.
English Learners will access multiple educational programs to expose them to English. Math students will practice math facts. Language Arts students will utilize the tablets for research and identifying text evidence. Social Studies students will be able to create videos to present their learning and understanding in a fun and engaging way. Science students will access real-life examples of the phenomena we will be studying about planet earth.
