My Students

I am the teacher of 21 unique and diverse learners who are eager to learn in as many ways possible.

We live in the extreme northeast corner of Oklahoma in a small, rural community.

The majority of our school consists of Title I students as we live in a low-income area. We have many Native American students as well since our location is home to over nine Native American tribes. I am looking to aid them in their journey to be college and career ready in their futures.

My Project

A Qball is an innovative and engaging way to increase classroom participation. Qball is a ball with a built-in microphone that can be tossed from student to student during classroom discussions. The microphone is connected to a bluetooth speaker that is provided.

Some students have softer voices than others, Qball helps those students be heard.

Qball will add engagement to classroom discussions by providing a concrete object for students to know and understand whose turn it is to speak. This will also help improve classroom management procedures. Whoever has the Qball has the floor to speak and everyone else will actively listen.
