I teach Pre-K, ages 3 to 5 years. All of my students have overcome adversities or live with trauma or a special need. Most of my students live in poverty. I have many students that live with foster families or have open DCFS cases. I individually try to bond with each family and put my best foot forward to get them the intervention services they need. My students are a blessing to me because each one has a special place in my heart.
I believe these students will achieve their goals in life through education and have bright futures.
I set individual goals for each student. I focus many of my lessons on science and math. These students are very young, and it is up to me to set their educational foundations.
My Project
Books are the foundation of learning in all subject areas! TOON books and the activity lesson planner will promote different methods of teaching, raising the bar for literacy success! All lessons from this resource will help raise language development as well when individualizing lessons for children with special needs. TOON books will be read during individual and small group reading sessions throughout the daily routine! Activities pertaining to these TOON books will be incorporated into our school curriculum to promote optimum student future and developmental goals. IEP goals will receive greater outcomes as well as aligning with language development goals being obtained.
