Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second grade students are amazing! There is no limit to what they can accomplish when given the tools to succeed! Over 90% are low income and receive free lunch. My students are as diverse as they are amazing, coming from Mexico, Thailand, Ecuador, and even Pakistan!
We need your help to succeed!
With your help, we can level the playing field for my low-income and special needs students and give them the same experiences that other more affluent students take for granted. With larger class sizes this year, it costs, even more, to buy things for all of my kids to use, so we need, now more than ever, help from wonderful donors like you!
My Project
My students love reading and they LOVE Science! They are also into comic books this year, and these their silly titles will be favorites to take home and read with their families. I KNOW that a set of these will make my students happy!
Toon books are a fabulous way to get kids and parents reading about Science together!
Having these fun and engaging science comic books for my students to read would be an amazing resource! These book sets would let all of my students have easy access to complex science concepts by way of easier chunks to read in the entertaining cartoons. They are sure to love Toon Books!
