My Students

We are a community-based educational program designed to assist those in a residential setting as well as students from the community. Our students come to us for support and guidance and a quality education after being unsuccessful in their home school. Our program is a collaboration between students, school districts, and the community.

My students all want to learn and need just a little more individual help to get the success they want and need.

My Project

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. They came to my classroom this year struggling with reading. One student, in particular, was described as “never being able to read at level”.

We have spent the first semester practicing and increasing our word fluency.

These students have struggled to gain the confidence they now have in reading.

Help me reward these students with this award-winning collection of 52 Toon Graphic books as a way to encourage them to continue to read and continue to make gains in their abilities!

Unfortunately, this is my first year teaching this grade level and all my books are for higher levels. I do have plenty of scholastic magazines that provide us with some material for extra reading. These books will add to their reading.
