Mrs. Nowlin from Bowie MD is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the digital resources they need with a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card as well as the ability to share information via a document camera.

My fifth graders love learning and sharing their thoughts and ideas. They come to school every day excited to engage in challenging activities. They love hands-on activities and work collaboratively. This year proves to be challenging, as it is for everyone during this time of COVID-19. We will begin our year virtually and use video chats to continue to build our classroom culture and to learn. We will not be able to engage in face-to-face activities. I work with my students to be supportive of one another and to cultivate a growth mindset. They are learning to persevere and to support each other along the way.
They thrive when they are able to use technology.
Technology creates an instant boost in attention. They love to use technology to enhance their learning, complete assignments, and share their work. It allows them to have more flexibility and creativity in their learning. This year we will use technology daily and in different ways then we have before. Digital resources will be used to engage in teaching and learning.
This project includes materials that will help my students grow academically. The Teachers Pay Teacher gift card will be used to purchase lessons and assignments for students to complete on google classroom. Digital resources are both engaging and easier for students to demonstrate their learning and practice new skills. They also make it easier for the teacher to share information and assess student understanding. The document camera will be used to more effectively model solving math problems. It will also be used in sharing materials with students virtually so they can see the documents over video chats.
