My Students

My students are from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. All my students want to be successful! Auto shop has become a more complex place for them because of the increased level of electronic and computerized components. The school is in a community that values technical education and there is support for Automotive Technology classes but often not the level of funding required to keep up with the need for new equipment that is required to repair current model cars.

I have amazing students that are willing to work hard and invest extra time beyond class to learn what it takes to be successful.

My goal is to give them all the tools to make it possible to learn in an efficient and safe way.

My Project

Accurately checking tire pressure on cars is one of the most common and important tasks that students can learn. It is a basic skill that students need to master if they are going to have safe and efficient cars to drive.

Our current pressure gauges are not in good working order and need to be replaced with industry standard units in great working condition.

These requested tire pressure gauges/ inflators will give my students the tools needed for learning this important basic skill. I have requested both digital and standard tire pressure gauges so the students will have the opportunity to use different types of inflators so they can be prepared for either type of tool should they work in the automotive industry.
