Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are very eager learners. They want to know as much as possible about each new concept that is presented in their classes. They are working hard to become well-educated, caring, and responsible citizens.
Having new whiteboards, markers, and pencils will enable my students to continue to practice their reading and writing skills.
The whiteboards we are currently using are stained and scratched. We need to have bags to store the new whiteboards so that they will not get scratched from rubbing against each other while I am moving them from room to room in my cart.
My Project
By providing these items, you will help me to keep my struggling students working on their literacy skills. Even when we take good care of our learning materials, they tend to wear out because they are used every day.
New whiteboards with storage bags to keep them from getting scratched will enable my students to practice their writing and spelling skills.
Markers that are not drying out from lots of use will make it possible for my students to spend more time working on their skills instead of having to waste time switching markers to find one that works well.
The kindergartners, and some of the older students, love to use the bigger pencils for writing. Doing so helps them to gain control of their hand muscles so that they can develop good penmanship.
