Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kids who are always eager to learn, during the pandemic, when everything is so uncertain and experienced so many changes during the spring and at the beginning of the school year too. At this time, some students are in person and some virtually, it could be very challenging to keep everyone actively engage and participate in the class when they sometimes cannot hear or see what is going on in the classroom . These supplies will help my students learn the target language and make the kids who are home feel like they are in class. I do what is in my power to help them succeed. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to take my Spanish 4 class to a Spanish play in NYC, the play was about a book we read and discussed in class, they enjoyed it so much. After the play, we strolled around in the city. They had such a great time because for some, it was the first time leaving the state of Delaware, that experience was very eye opening to them and priceless to me for helping them reach their goal and make this trip happen.
My Project
Thank you so much in advance for considering my project. The last few months have been uncertain for all, especially for the students who have been through so many changes. Having some students in the classroom and some 100% virtually could be very challenging. I am trying to make the process of learning a foreign language easier for them, using technology that can be applied for the students who are in the classroom and for the ones who are at home.
I want the students who are home, to feel like they are in the classroom with their peers.
Make both groups be able to interact with each other with the speaker, the iPad and the pencil.
