Hello, I am a new teacher at Westvale Elementary. I am excited to begin my new adventure! I have a classroom full of energetic and excitable students. Our school has the challenge of being lower income, over half of our students qualify for reduced-fee lunch. We are a Title One School. Many students struggle with learning and staying on task. I am hoping to obtain the needed tools to help my students focus and be more successful in the classroom.

Often we focus on the the math program, reading program, books, and other materials.
What about the students who need additional help just to focus and stay on task? How do these students engage in the learning process when they are so easily distracted?
I believe the items I selected will assist those students that need extra help to focus. The band on the legs of the chair, the wobble cushion on the seat, and the pencil grip on the pencil will assist me as a teacher to ensure every student has the tools necessary to succeed.
