My students attend an inner city school whose student body is diverse, both academically and socioeconomically. Many of the students are English Language Learners and some were living in refugee camps. They have left their home country for a better life and education.
My students are full of potential and eager to learn.
They come to school each and every day with smiles on their faces. They do not have the required materials at home to practice what is being taught in the classroom. The instruction they receive in my classroom is usually the extent of their learning time. The support at home is little to none, mostly due to the lack of materials. They need to develop the skills to keep up in a world that is full of literacy.
My Project
The utility workstation will be a great addition to our classroom. Our class has a document camera that needs a place in our room. The utility workstation would be a great place. The utility workstation can hold all our technology for math, reading, and science. Making sure that all my students are learning is very important in the classroom.
The utility workstation will help organize our technology in the classroom.
In this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase the students desire to learn. This project will help enrich their experience in technology along with being organized.
