My students need a new classroom laptop. The current computer is not doing well. We need a new one for our robotics and other activities that require and updated computer.
I am inspired every day by my students. They are always excited to come to enrichment class. They are enthusiastic, energetic, and curious about the world around them. Their enthusiasm inspires me to create challenging and thought-provoking lessons. They always want more. I am the gifted specialist in a public school in the mountains of North Carolina. My students come from diverse backgrounds. I teach first through sixth grade in small groups. I presently serve about 120 students throughout the week. My students are always up for a challenge. They thrive on challenging materials, probing questions, and interesting lessons. They amaze me every day with their "out of the box" thinking.
My Project
We love our old computer but it is just not working right. Our class needs a new classroom laptop. The current laptop is not reliable, it is outdated and not working well. We need a new one so we can continue to use our robotics and our 3D printer. The students use the classroom laptop to program the Lego EV3 robots and the Lego Mindstorm. This is very difficult with the current laptop. We also need the new laptop so we can use our SmartBoard correctly. It is amazing how creative you can be when you need to make things work. However, we are at the end of what we can do and accomplish. We are currently on hold for many of the projects until we are able to get a new laptop. Please help our classroom add this new piece of equipment. The new laptop will help the classroom run much more efficiently.
